Projects for Key Clients
Motor vehicle registration system
The Company has designed and developed a system monitoring vehicle customs clearance at the request of the Federal Customs Service which is now up and running at all customs checkpoints throughout Russia. Once implemented, the system streamlined the operations of customs officials and provided all the customs agencies and federal services concerned with access to complete information on foreign cars imported to Russia . ARMADA's software was praised as the best logistics solution at the International Logistics Forums 2005 and 2006.
National e-Library
The largest electronic repository of digital version of books in Russia 's history was created in collaboration with the Russian State Library to provide online public access to the archives of the State Library and its regional branches. The applied technology prevents unauthorized replication of information and caters for a string of other information security issues. In the long run, the project will be expanded to cover other major libraries in Russia .
System of National Accounts for the Russian State Statistics Service
In a World Bank project, the Company has developed a system meant to control the government's macroeconomic policy and evaluate the basic macroeconomic indicators used to assess the state of Russia 's economy (GDP, added value, production volume etc.) for Russia 's State Statistics Service. The indicators are calculated on the basis of the statistics collected by the Service. The system has been designed so as to take into account a number of subtle influences of the changing macroeconomic conditions (inflation, denomination etc.), changes in the legislation and others. The resulting data are used in the Service' s analytical materials submitted to the Russian government.
Secured Financing System
Loans secured by movable property are regarded globally as one of the main drivers of business activity. Yet, they are hardly widespread in Russia due to the shortcomings of the legislation and a lack of registration technology. The Company in partnership with the Center for Institutional Reform and Informal Sector (IRIS) at the University of Maryland (USA) has implemented a consulting project at the request of the Russian Finance Ministry funded by the World Bank and aimed at creating the regulatory framework, as well as an information system tailored to address the registration task. Borrowers who have no immovable property but some valuable movables (such as cars and equipment) can now use the assets as a security for their loans. In general, the project will make internal and external capital more available.
